My day started with IKEA-IPC-Curve. Had to do some shopping before I leave. Knowing it is a weekend, and how I despise being in malls on a weekend, I was planning to do my usual grab-and-go. Until I was lured into a few shops because the whole freaking country is on sale! Damn those female tempters.
Plenty of festive shoppers around Ikea, saw a few families carrying Christmas trees back. And they are cheap too - MYR169 each! I want one .... but I won't even be around for X'mas. In fact, I will only be in Malaysia/KL for 10 days in (mid) December. Next year, I will get a tree - if I don't plan to travel, that is, which is kind of impossible.
Walked pass Padini(?) and saw 50% OFF and 70% OFF signs everywhere; the whole shop is on sale. Even the shoes!! And I kind of walked in and walked out with a new pair of Flatforms!!! I have been meaning to get a pair; saw one in Topshop early this year but it was way over my budget for a pair of shoes which I will only wear once in a while.
Intended to catch the 12.30pm shuttle to KJ LRT station, but I missed it; because I was searching for an exercise resistance band in Tesco, which is at the opposite end of IPC. Darn! Hence I slowed my pace and went for lunch at Green Life Vegetarian. Brown rice ROCKS!! I can stay vegetarian forever.
Went into FOS and stood in front of the rack of boxers for the longest time, trying to reason out to myself on whether to get one or not. Something caught my eye ....
YES! Dr Seuss' Cat in the Hat printed boxers!! Why can't girls have quirky brilliant prints like that on the underwear instead of hearts/polka dots? So, I was standing there, holding this pair of boxers, admiring it - I know the staff were laughing at me from behind. Meh..
Nearly missed the bus the second time because for some reason, I just had to stop and look at nail polishes, when I was supposed to head to the lavatory. Who knew time passes by so swiftly by just looking/trying out nail polishes - I ended up buying 2 colors and a top coat - WHY?!? I am still asking myself that exact same question as I hardly paint my nails. But I was so fascinated with this color-cracking nail polish I was experimenting with on my two thumbs
Who says I need to go for manicures?! I think I can paint my nails better than most of the manicurists these days. In love with the random patterns and wanted to get a bottle for myself, I even slept on that thought of buying, yet woke up and still want it.
More errands after that in the city - exchanged currencies, bought a skirt for ballet - nearly got conned to pay/buy something. It is amazing how one's character changes instantly in such situations, I call it pretentious.
"There was a group of youngsters standing at the bottom of the steps outside Sungei Wang with forms. As I was approaching the steps, this girl started talking to me about their project - selling souvenirs, collecting points, blablabla.. And she said something about helping her to sign a form to show support, but did not mention any money involved. I even asked, "Do I only need to write my name/sign it?". Of course, all the while she was sweet talking, asking me where I'm from, said I look like a Korean, etc. *rolls eyes* After I signed it and handed her the form, she asked me how much I want to contribute in monetary terms. I was like "What?!" They are selling small keychains and charging people MYR30 for them! What kind of scam is this. So I pointed that out to her, that she did not mention that I am obliged to pay for anything. Her whole character changed, replied me rudely, I could have reported her. She's one of the scam clans around Bukit Bintang area."
Night ended with cake at The Social Bangsar with Thasha. I simply can not stop admiring the cracking nail polish on my nails, the random patterns it created. I am just amazed by this 'technology', close enough to actually Google for its ingredients and how it reacts once applied - Nerd much? Honestly, I paint my nails better than most manicurists
